Working Hard, BUT.......
Happy first day of Day Light Savings time. When I had a “real job”, I really liked having it lighter when I got off work. Now that I work for myself, it does not matter that much.
Yesterday I was working hard, but instead of listing 20 items on Ebay, I have 2 items ready to upload. I use Turbolister, Ebay’s free auction software. My auctions are in there and all I have to do is push a button to upload them.
What happened? I spend the day working on the things I need to list instead of doing the listing. Finding, sorting and researching electronic parts. My old and obsolete components, used to build military electronics have some value. The two auctions I have prepared could bring in $200 or more.
I wonder why I have not thought about listing all these parts before. So, even if I do not get the quantity of auctions listed I want, I should make the money I wanted to earn off of what I do list.
This is something to think about whether you are into selling on Ebay or doing internet marketing. If you sell low dollar items or if you sell high dollar items, the time to do the sale is about the same. It takes as long to write a page on a cheap item as it does to write a page on an expensive item.
My 2 auctions will probably make as much as the 20 I had envisioned. This works the same with selecting affiliate programs to list on you website or choosing high paying keywords to write articles about.
This is a case where you must look carefully at what you are doing and see where your time is best spent on on exactly what.
Since I sell mainly electronics on the Ebay ID I told you about, I changed the name. When I was using it to sell stuff from my mother’s estate I renamed it, “grandmas-junque”. Since I will only use it to get rid of my electronic inventory I renamed it “electronicspart”.
Why “electronicspart”? What kind of name is that. I used my new program Keyword Elite to research “electronics” keywords and how many times they were searched last month. “electronics part” was up at the top of the list of most search keyword phrases.
