Organizing The Process
I needed a couple cross reference books for parts I have. I could not find them. Yesterday I spent organizing the process I use. I moved a bunch of boxes from inside the warehouse to the garages behind the building. In the process I found the missing books.
Do you think it is possible that if I was more organized I could make a lot more money. I do. I spend a lot of time spinning my wheels trying to find things or get space to work in.
“A clean desk is a sign of a sick mind”, is what THEY say, but THEY are wrong. A clean desk, workspace or warehouse is the sign of someone who is organized and will get the job done. In my lifetime I have spent more time searching for “lost” things than I would like to admit. In the long run I probably would have been better off buying a new “whatever” instead of searching for hours to possibly find the lost one or even having to buy one anyway because the lost one was never found.
OH, I just found the lost one, only it is three years after I needed it. Sound familiar? I hope not.
This is all of the process I have been talking about. Goals, writing down plans and getting things accomplished in the easier way possible.
Because I work for myself, I consider my work week 7 days a week. Both Sharon and I work when we have to. Yes, we may take off camping for 5 days or take a “weekend” of camping in the middle of the week. If you ask us, we work everyday.
If you think that is excessive, we do not. We do what we have to do to live the way we live. I would not like to go back to working for a “boss” five days a week.
So, join us. Start you online business of some sort and see if you can be self employed this year or in five years. The time is not as important as the act of doing it. Why not add another dimension to your life that just may free you from the corporate world. If not free you from it, give you the extra money to live better within it.
