You Need A Strong Enough Reason
Have you found yourself slowing down? I have. Do you wonder why you are not getting to the point you want to be in reaching any goal you have set for yourself? One possibility is that you do not have a strong enough reason to reach your goal. Usually when the reason is strong enough we take action to accomplish anything we desire to do.
Think about the last thing you really wanted to do and went ahead and did. Reflect on what actions you took to make it a reality. When you make up your mind to get a job, task or even fun thing planned and accomplished, you tend to "just do it". You have a reason; the motivation and you plan and move forward.
Sometimes this is a long planning process and sometimes it is a spur of the moment decision. However, when you really decide it has to be done, you "just do it".
Get a piece of paper and a pen and think about the reasons you have for accomplishing anything you want to do. Write down your reason you want to lose weight, become a successful Ebay seller or internet marketeer. I want to lose weight is not a reason. I want to feel better is not a reason. I want to lose 30 pounds so I can live until I am 90 in the best of health and fitness is starting to be a reason. I want to feel like I did when I was young and strong. The stronger you can make the reason the better you chance of success.
Why do you want to reach you goal? If you can answer that question with a strong enough reason, you are moving toward the goal, as you never could have in the past. The reason, the why is what motivated you. The goal is just another goal with a strong underlying why.
Today Sharon and I are going to spend some time looking at our, "whys" and "reasons" for the goals we have set for our lives.
