What Can You Do To Succeed?

Success.  What is needed to achieve it?  As I work toward coming to an understanding of becoming what I wish to become, this question keeps coming up.  What can I do to succeed.  Everything I read and every motivational tape or CD I listen to say one thing. Take action.  Ideas are a dime a dozen.  The best, most fantastic idea that every existed is worthless without action.

Do you find yourself taking action, but then backing off and getting back in the “idea mode”.  This is where I am.  I do a little action followed up by a lot more thinking.  Too much thinking, not enough action.

Normally this would be me whining about not succeeding.  Now it has changed to a revelation.  The daily time chart I am keeping is telling me a lot about my habits.  As I evaluate each day, there is not enough work done.  A lot of  “important studying”, but action is missing.  I study and study, and instead of applying what I study, I study some more.

The time chart is forcing me to see what I do. I know it already, but now it is a written record and I see it every few minutes.  There is magic in writing things down.  Once committed to paper, they become a record anyone could see.

My time chart is sitting next to me and still shows last night.  6:30 to 8:30 was in an internet marketing forum The Warrior Forum.  2 hours of  “learning”.  This is one of the best forums I have found. It daily has a lot of information and a lot of help.  HOWEVER, my time chart is saying maybe I should learn to cut back some.

Are you trying to accomplish something worthwhile in your life.  Humor me and do me one small favor right now.  Pick up a pen and a piece of paper and write, “ I can do it! ”  That’s it.  REALLY!  Write it down.  I am not asking much from you.
