Frugal Money Saving And The Internet

I keep talking about making money on the internet.  In the beginning that income may seem slow in coming if you are doing internet marketing.  Until you are making money, it pays to save money as much as possible.

When you think of buying something for yourself or your family do you check prices online first?  I know you check once in a while, but the more you check, the more you can save.  If you can use a used item, the best place to check is Ebay.  Everything is NOT cheaper on Ebay and sometimes a cheap on Ebay item is more expensive when you add in shipping.

Many online stores sell cameras and other higher dollar items for large savings over your local stores.  Some even ship free.  Even when you add shipping you often save a lot of money over what you can get it for in a store near you.

Since we have grandchildren I would like to get a digital movie camera.  The Sony camcorder I would really like is $1999 at my local store. I see it for $1395 online.  WOW! What a savings.  Many camera stores are rated and you can pick one with a good rating and be assured you will get a good price and good service.  OH, I’m holding off on getting the camera. That’s a little more than I can afford right now.

Not everything is cheaper online, but it would pay you to get into the habit of researching what you buy online before you make a purchase.  Even clothing can be cheaper online.  My wife bought 3 pair of brand new jeans on Ebay for the price of one pair in the store.

I read a tip a couple of years ago that I always use now when ordering off the internet. ALWAYS open a separate browser window and do a search for the retailer and "coupon code". You can frequently find a coupon code for free shipping, or a % or $$ off. It only takes a few seconds and can save you money!
