Pay Per Click (PPC) Advertising

It is about time I started a pay per click or PPC advertising campaign.  You have seen “ADS BY GOOGLE” on webpages, I am sure.  There are a number of clickable links to products relating to the page you are visiting.  These ads are paid for by individuals and companies trying to get you to their site.  When a company pays for one of these ads, it is called, “pay per click” advertising because every time someone clicks on one of those ads, the person who created the ad has to pay a fee for that click.

When you are on one of my sites with Google ads on it and you click on the ad, I get paid because you clicked on the ad.  So, each time a Google ad is clicked on someone makes some  money and someone pays some money.

The whole idea of PPC it to get customers to your site to buy your “product”.  You may not even have a physical product for sale.  Your product may be the product of someone else you are advertising for.  Like my Ebay Course I offer.  My product is the ad and hopes someone will buy from that ad. If they buy from my ad, I make a commission.

If you don’t like my Ebay offering and you don’t even like my site, but see an ad related to my page in the “Ads By Google” ads and click on one and leave my webpage, you just “bought my product”.  See?  I have two products “for sale” on my site.  One is an affiliate offering I will make a commission on and the other is an ad I get paid for any time someone clicks on it, even if they don’t buy a product from the site the ad takes them too.

ONE CAUTION!  Don’t click on peoples ads just to “help them out” and make them a little money.  Someone paid for the ad, and you are cheating them out of income they might get if you actually were interested in their offering.

So, I have started my own, “AD BY GOOGLE” campaign. Actually it is called Adwords by Google.  Adsense if where I make money by getting people to click and Adwords is where I pay to get my ads on websites.

Since I am not selling a product at this time, my purpose in paying for these ads is to get traffic to my site in hopes of them clicking on one of the ADS BY GOOGLE on my site and earning me a commission or by going to one of my affiliate programs and buying a product and earning me a commission there.
