What A Great "Weekend"
Our camping weekend is coming to an end. We are slowing packing to leave at noon, which is chekout time. Tuesday through Friday has been a great Thanksgiving “weekend” for us. Camping at the beach has been been very relaxing.
Last night we saw florescing waves again. The light blue flashes of light when the waves break and the algae give off a moments light.
For those that wonder, camping here at this state campground is $15 a night for a campground with no water, electricity, showers or other amenities. The have outhouse toilets and that is it.
Most other local State campgrounds are $25 a night, but have showers, bathrooms, and water every few campsites. California more than doubled its camping fees to support the state’s general fund. We pay more to camp, and they have cut back camping services. Too bad those extra fees don’t go to the campgrounds themselves.
