Free Is NOT Aways FREE!
We had a great time at Knott’s Berry Farm yesterday. Normally it costs $45 each to get in, but we got in for free. FREE is often sort of expensive
$9.00 parking
$5.00 locker to store our coats in case it got cold — it didn’t
$6.26 for two small sodas
$20.19 burger, fries and sodas (no refills) for two
$6.36 two more sodas
$46.81 + gas (166 miles round trip) + trinkets +, +, +
Yes, a tremendous savings and we were happy to have saved so much, but always remember, “FREE” doesn’t always mean it won’t cost you anything. Even the “free cruise” I told you about has added expenses like port taxes and tips.
Even if something you get for “FREE” isn’t totally free, it sure beats the full price you would have to pay if you didn’t get it for free. Sharon and I are always looking for freebies in our area that make you money go a little farther.
Straight up. STRAIGHT DOWN!!
