The Cheapst Campground

Of the five campgrounds within 25 miles of home that are on the beach, this one is the cheapest.  It is $15 to camp here for one night.  The others are $20 to $25 a night.  I love it when we are camped on the beach and save money at the same time.

Many campers here are camping in tents.  It doesn’t matter if you have a huge motorhome, a travel trailer or a tent, the fee for camping is the same.  Since we are camping during the week, there are lots of campsites available.  This weekend you won’t be able to get a campsite here unless you have a reservation.

We have seen seals and dolphins just beyond the surf line.  It is fun to watch the birds and sea life when you come to beach.  We are never disappointed at the beach.  Part of the fun we enjoy is looking for dolphins swimming by.  They are not a steady stream.  We see them two or three times a day if we are lucky, but we almost always see them go by once.

Maybe I told you we buy our firewood at a local lumber yard for $8 to $10 for a pallet full or $15 for a larger box of cut off lumber. It is all lumber cut offs.  Our fire last night and first thing this morning were relaxing and very enjoyable.  I think campfires are an important part of the camping experience.

It’s A hard life, but someone has to do it. Good Morning Sunrise
