Winter Heating When Power Goes Off
As cold weather gets here cuddling is a nice way to stay warm, but when winter storms take out the power and the house gets really cold it takes more than cuddling. Over a year ago we bought a Wave8 Catalytic heater from Camping World. These "burn" propane but are safe to use in enclosed areas. We bought the larger one, but they have smaller ones that use less propane. Click the link to get more details.

Olympian Wave™ 8 Catalytic Heater
I was writing about this in my RVing blog and thought it would a nice thing to pass on to other readers also. I had never heard of these heaters until we bought our motorhome, a 1988 34 foot Bounder. They are very popular for heating RVs. Depending on how cold it gets where you are and how often the power goes off, this could be a very good investment.
Speaking of good investments, we went out to garage sales and got a few good deals. I got some new notebooks for 25 cents a piece. I got a stainless steel gas bar-b-que like they use on boats. It was only $5 and they sell new for well over $100.
