Swap Meets And Garage Sales
Today Sharon and I went down to Los Angeles, just south of the Los Angeles airport. There is a once a month HAM radio operator club swap meet there, “The TRW Swap meet”. It is supposed to be HAM radio equipment and electronics equipment only. They do have tools and computer related items, but they forbid household items.
We got two sets of “Baby Genius” software. It is 16 disks, 8 DVDs and 8 companion music CDs. We paid $15 to two sets, one for each grandchild. At the Baby Genius website these sets are $59.99 each. WOW! $120 worth of fun for the kids.
I got “ClickArt” with 300,000 clip art pictures and actual photographs for $10. My 3 PhotoShop books costs $1 each. We got some office supplies real cheap also. I love a good swap meet.
I not sure which is better a swap meet or a garage sale. Some swap meets now have too much new merchandise, so in general, I guess garage sales are a little better. It just depends.
Across the street from our business is a automotive paint store. We often see very interesting cars parked there.
