Get Away Day
Today we starting our weekend and will work Saturday and Sunday instead. We are going to the beach and then on to the campground Leo Carillo across the road from the beach. Leo Carillo is a popular surfing location. It is known for its tide pools. In our five years living at and near the beach it has the best tidal sea life in the area. Today low tide will be at 5:30 P.M. so it will be just right for this trip.
The Southern California fires are still going and the wind has kicked up again. I may not have a campfire tonight. I will wait to see how the winds are at the campground tonight. We love a good fire, but I’d hate to start a big one with flying embers.
We are finding that our budget sure goes farther watching the sales and not buying things that aren’t need immediately unless they are on sale. I just bought a stepladder I need for $10 off the regular $39.99 price. Sharon just came back from the thrift shop with some almost new clothes in excellent shape. If you think frugal, you can sure make your money go a lot farther.
