Jan 31, '05 Expensive Homes
Yesterday was a fun get away at the harbor. We only got strawberries at the farmers market. They have fresh cut flowers and growing orchids. A potted, blooming orchid plant is only $12.
It was fun watching all the boats. There are a lot of the small electric powered boats you see in the next picture. Many people who own houses in the harbor keys have these boats moored at their back door. You see them parked at restaurant docks and touring the harbor. The big boat in the background is one of the commercial fishing boats.
You can rent the little electric boats for about $40 an hour.
Kayaking in ocean going kayaks is a very popular form of exercise here. I see these out on the ocean about 1/2 a mile off shore. I have only tried a kayak once in our harbor. It was a pedal powered kayak built for two. Sharon and I both felt like we would tip over at any moment. Luckily we did not.
The harbor front home you see in the background are typically prices about $1 million. Just a little bit out of my price range. Our counties median house price if over $6,000,000. Do you want to move to coastal California?
