Unexpected Interuptions

Today we have an insurance inspector coming to look at our rental warehouse.  She is inspecting the building for the insurance company that insures the owner of the building.  This caused a panic cleanup of the office and incidental areas that did not look like they should.

She will inspect, make a report and we will probably have to change the way we do some things here.  Time spent now and maybe later that interrupt the flow of business.

Unexpected interruptions of our business should be planned for to some extent.  This means putting money aside for rainy days.  NOT normal savings, but rainy day savings.  If you get sick of for few weeks or get in a accident you have money to cover you.

We only have a couple months cushion and then we would have problems.  This is another reason to get an easy to operate sideline business going.  Since you know me, of course, I am talking about making money online.  My two primary ways are internet marketing which has been slow for me to get going and Ebay.  Ebay is quick money because you can be paid quickly for items you sell.

This is, hopefully, the wake up call and motivation I need to accelerate my efforts at generating online income.  I am vulnerable to landlords, insurance companies, the city and state regulations.  I have been bit by a few landlords in the past.  The last two bit hard. One doubled my rent, so we moved the business.  The other sold the property and we had to move our entire business.  I won’t go back farther.

I am encouraged by people I read about in various internet marketing forums. They are people like you and me who apply a principle or two and are making $300 or $1000 a month after a short time.  It is possible, but you have to follow the IM rules to making money.  My problem is I do not stick to the rules.
