Selling Obsolet Computer Equipment
Yesterday I talked about selling obsolete computer equipment. I went out into the warehouse and found an older label printer and two old HUGE computers and listed them on Ebay. I pulled a couple old Apple Macintosh SE style computers. I tested the printer, but not the big computers. I will test the Apple computers. Working things make more money than non-working so the time spent turning things on is worth it if the price is $30 or better.
The higher the price of an item, the more time you can spent cleaning, testing and writing a good auction description. For low prices items you just want to throw a picture into a template and a short description and get it listed. Selling on Ebay means paying attention to the money you make each week. Is it worth your time when you count your cash on Saturday night?
By paying attention to your Ebay auctions, just as you would pay attention to the bottom line in any business, you will know what works and what does not.
I am getting excited about selling on Ebay again. This is finally something that we have to be committed to. We cannot just play at it like we have been doing with things over the past year or so. We really have a need to make money now and are finding working is becoming easier by the day.
Once we have a schedule going, we can slowly add internet marketing into the picture and the work ethic of one business should flow over to the other. Maybe being “evicted” was one of the best things to happen to us in a long time. It is forcing us to work.
Wouldn’t the person who turned us in to the city for living in our warehouse be upset if they knew they did us a favor. When I think about whoever it was, I can’t even get upset. I don’t really like it, or didn’t when it first happened, but Sharon and I have never really agonized over this.
If you have the right attitude about things, there is not much life can throw at you that will make you miserable. MISERABLE! I never even thought about that word until just now. We are definitely not miserable because of all of this.
Look at what we are going through and think about your own situation. If it is good, how can you make it better. If it is not so good, how can you overcome your doubts and move forward with your life. You can change any situation, good or bad and make it even better. It is just about making a decision to do so.
