A Non-Event

Yesterday’s visit by the insurance inspector turned out to be a non-event.  I worried about it for nothing. She came into the office and asked a few questions then left.  It was not an inspection at all.

This is still a wakeup call.  I hope I do not hit the snooze alarm button and go on about business as usual.  There is a saying, “If you do what you’ve done, you’ll get what you got”.  Which says, “Get off of your posterior and get something accomplished in your life”.

I was reading in an IM forum comments that 90+ percent of the people who buy programs and are given detailed information on  how to succeed on the internet NEVER use it.  I think I may fall into that 90+ percent.  YIKES!  I have a lot of information. I read and study a lot. I read forums and participate in them, BUT I do not apply what I learned.

Most people who begin anything or buy any program do not follow through with it.  Even exercise equipment ends up gathering dust in the garage.  Seminars get us all hyped up for the duration and into the day after we get home and then the excitement starts wearing off as we get back into our normal routine.

This is an interesting shortcoming in human nature.  Most will not do what they know they should.  They think it is an excellent idea and then put it on the back burner.  This is interesting and yet frustrating as I fall into the majority category.  I need to get out of that distinction and fly with the eagles.  How about you?  I hope you are ready and actively pursuing your dreams.

What is with that?  As I “talk” think about yourself too.  Do you relate to what I am talking about?  Do you put your best effort into what you are doing or do you slide by with minimal effort.  I am at the minimal effort stage.  I think I am “working” but I am just getting by.

Ebay is the area where I am doing the best and as I reflect on my Ebay efforts, I am not even putting all the energy I could into Ebay sales.  Yes, we did over $2000 in Ebay sales last month, and are listing this month, but I could do better and be more organized if I would put some thought into it.

So, why am I doing fairly well with Ebay?  It is familiar ground and I know what I am doing.  Internet marketing is not.  I take the easy road.  Yes, I will continue working at Ebay, as we need to pay the bills.  However, I really need to evaluate what I have and how I need to use those resources in IM.
