Lemons and Lemonade
There is a saying in life, “If you get lemons, make lemonade”. I do not know about you, but we have received a lot of lemons in our lives in the last 10 years or so. The secrets is to make lemonade. Make the best of every situation and you will find that what seemed terrible at the time turned out to be an advantage.
OK, we live in our warehouse and motorhome parked behind the warehouse. According to the city this is a no-no. Someone turned us in for living here. OH NO! OH YES!. We have two weeks to correct this code violation, or in plain English, find another place to live.
So is this a bad thing. No, it isn’t. We had not planned on moving, but moving out is a good thing. It will put us into a “real home” again. It will give us neighbors and more social interaction with people. If you get lemons make lemonade.
At first we were trying to figure out how to move in two weeks, save money and get a place to live. We though of renting a room in a home. We live in high rent area. Rooms run $650 a month. Bachelor duplexes about $900 in an area you would want to live. This city is a heavy gang area, so you choose your neighborhoods carefully.
We are thinking of all the cheap ways out to conserve our limited resources and limited income. HEY! We have Ebay and internet marketing to work with. FORGET CHEAP! We have decided to go for a place of to about $1200 a month. There are some within a block of the beach in this price range.
We did $2000 last month on Ebay without working hard. We have done half that in half a month this month. Again we have not worked hard. What would happen if we really applied ourselves and worked Ebay and IM to the fullest we are currently capable of?
I say quit thinking poor and make the most of the assets you have. Make life really worth living. Do not settle for second best, when with a little more effort you can go first class.
