Ups And Downs In Business

Without a plan the ups and downs in business seem more extreme than when I have a plan.  When I am writing my plans down and trying to keep track of what I am doing, I find I am more productive.  When I try to wing it and just do what I think needs to get done, I go is six directions at the same time and do not get as much done.

It really pays to look at how you do things and evaluate whether you are using you time effectively.  You need to balance work time, family time and entrepreneur time, but you need a plan to go by. A written plan for the day will take you farther than just “playing it by ear”.

Each time I spend the time to write down my plans for the day, week, month or my life, I tend to get a lot more accomplished. If I read those plans during the day and look at my overall objective on a regular basis, I move forward.

When I try to get things done without a written idea of what my objective is, I tend to spend a lot of time doing things that are not that important.  I just spin my wheels and do not seem to get much done.

Targets are great for archery and firing ranges, but they are also great in our lives. If you have a target you are aiming for there is a better chance of hitting the bulls eye than if you just spin around aim and fire in whatever direction you stop in.

If you have not bought a time planning book or CD/tape set, I highly recommend you do so.  I prefer Tony Robbins tape course, “Time Of Your Life” which I got on Ebay.  I also have a Brian Tracey Tape course on time management, also purchased on Ebay.
