Testing New Things
Since I got the new program Keyword Elite I have been playing with its functions and am testing new things. It is open my eyes to a lot of possibilities with the sites I have and those I want to create. I am really impressed with all it does in keyword research.
On the frugal side of things, I have three free checking accounts between two banks. The least used one’s balance dropped below their minimum for the free account. I was being charged $8 a month service fee. Yesterday we closed that account and moved it to the totally free checking accounts bank. I hate paying for things I can get free at a “store” just down the street.
This is along the lines of buying things with rebates. It makes sense to send in the rebate coupon and get an item for 50% off or even free. Rebates and coupons are a definite way to save money.
I told you I was playing with my new program. I got so involved with things yesterday that I forgot to write two of my blogs. One I have been writing for one year and 3 months and never missed a day. I missed yesterday. You know I was distracted.
Yesterday I found an interesting thing using that software. One of the sites that came up as a top 10 site had a very unique URL or address. Normally a site has an address like http://www.frugal-money-saver.com this website was slightly different. Because it is competition and I do not want to advertise for them, I will give you an example. There site was written as http://www-frugal-money-saver.com (not a valid URL)
“Wait”! You say. “Those are the same”. No, they are different, look again. one is the normal http://www. www period which is used with and internet address. The other is http:www– www dash. The www is part of the name. Interesting. More interesting is that is was a site for a major internet marketing guru.
