Gaining More Time Each Day
Are you thinking about accomplishing something, but just do not have the time. Maybe it is in your best interests to make time for what is important in your life.
Every day I spend my first 45 minutes exercising. I turned “fat and forty” a long time ago. OK, not excessively fat, but fat enough, 20–30 pounds over my optimum weight. Now, I am even more overweight. I want to lose a total of about 70–75 pounds. I have already lost 20 pounds. Only 50 to go to get back down to about 160 pounds.
OK, what has that go to do with gaining time? I spend 30 minutes on a recumbent exercise bike. I put a table in front of me to hold a book, so I can read while I exercise. Most of the time I read internet marketing materials. Today part of what I read was about gaining time to work on your IM projects.
The book said the obvious one was to cut back on TV time. It also said that a simple solution is to get up early. “Dragging yourself out of bed is an extremely simple way of creating more time….” (Phil Wiley). He goes on to say that by getting up an hour early each day you will have effectively created “around 10 additional working weeks”. WOW! He says it is hard to start and you may be tired to begin but after a few weeks your body will adjust.
Phil quotes John H Aughey, “Lost time is never found again” That is a very profound quote. How much water has run under your bridge? I know a lot has passed under mine and I’ll never find it again. It is time to GET ORGANIZED and get going.
I think I have been playing around instead of really trying. Yes, I do things to move forward, but they are often playing rather than working. Yesterday was an example. I should have listed ten items on Ebay. I listed two. I have pictures of more than 10, but did not write the descriptions. I was “playing” too much. Other “important” stuff, but not what will make me an income.
