Time Log Is Revealing

Do you want to gain control of your time? Start a daily time log for a week. I may be able to put my head in the sand and miss a lot of things, but when I have a daily time log, it is staring me in the face.  I have a written record of “all I did not do”.  I think I am working, but when I evaluate my time log, the “work” I was doing was not what a company would pay me to do.

Study and learning is essential to becoming an internet marketeer.  However, that is not what an employer would pay me to do.  Writing content, creating webpages and measurable work is what a boss would pay me for.  I tell myself I am working, but my time log tells me an entirely different story.

How about you and what you are doing?  Are you also fooling yourself into believing you are working on a project, when you are actually preparing to work on it?  Getting everything ready to work on it?  Are you doing “jobs” that are not what your are “being paid to do”?  OK, you are not being paid, but you ultimately pay yourself from your productive work.

I have fallen into a pattern of non-work.  I hope you understand what I am saying here. I hope you are working when you are working.  Of course you have to study and learn, but make that your lower priority.  Set aside time to learn, but spend most of your time doing.
