Small Cars Save On Gas

We drove about 300 miles round trip to my son’s house.  I sure am glad we have a 4 cylinder car for such trips. We filled the tank before leaving and got back with 1/4 tank of gas left.  The tank hold 14 gallons.  We still have a full size Chevrolet with a V8 engine.  It sure would have eaten a lot more gas.

My son has a ceiling fan in his high ceiling house. It blows down from the ceiling to pull warm air from up high down lower.  I’m not sure, but I think our way of blow a fan up toward the ceiling works better.  I felt a cool breeze from the ceiling fan.  I have never noticed a cool breeze from our fan aimed up at the ceiling.  Of course all of our ceilings have been low.  His is an A frame ceiling with exposed been rafters.

Winter is a season where many spend a lot of money to stay warm.  I hope you can keep your heating bills down this winter.  Higher gasoline prices also mean higher heating costs.  Be sure you take a look at the heating tips I mentioned earlier.
