Public Domain Publishing

Yesterday’s article was partially about public domain information.  To find what information has passed in to public domain you can check out many sites.  Here is the first one I found doing a Google search: Public Domain Chart.  Did you ever read Napoleon Hill’s, “Think and Grow Rich”? It is in the public domain.

BE CAREFUL.  Everything on the internet is NOT public domain.  Every picture and article on the internet is probably copyrighted.  You may not see a copyright notice, but the MOMENT I create an article, or take a picture, it is automatically copyrighted according to United States law.  Many other countries are even more strict than the USA regarding copyrights.

NEVER use other people’s content, pictures and articles as your own.  You may take any page or group of pages, take notes and rewrite that information in your own words.  Do not copy and paste sentences from those pages.  Create a totally new article or document.  This is similar to writing a term paper.

The U.S. Copyright office is online at U.S. Copyright Website.  It give you complete information and the exact laws regarding copyrights in the United States.  A Google search should give you copyright information in your country if you are not in the U.S.A.

I bought an excellent Public Domain book on Amazon.  You can check it out at:
