Make A List And Check It Twice
The Christmas season is here and Santa Claus is coming to town, “He’s making a list and checking it twice……….” NOW, there is a good idea. Here is a challenge for you if you are trying to develop an online presence. If you are needing ideas to build your website and they do not come to you as fast as you would like, make a list.
No, I don’t mean a to do list. What I am talking about is sit down for 30 minutes. Do not cheat! Use a timer or watch a clock and spend 30 minutes writing down everything you can think of that relates to your project. Write about public domain, naming your site, how to make money online, what topics you are interested in. Just write and ramble for a solid thirty minutes. When you can’t think of the next thing to write, just write. It will come to you. Do not judge ideas, even if they seem ridiculous or impossible, write them down as fast as you can.
At the end of 30 minutes you will have a lot of ideas written down. Go over the list and pick some of the best to work on. OK, you have a list, but “this list” may not be the important one. You see, you just stimulated your brain to think of a lot of ways to improve your internet business. Your mind is not on a timer. At the end of the 30 minutes it will keep thinking about what you were doing whether you pay attention to the process or not. In a hour or six hours. In a day or three days, you will think of some things to add to that list. Some of these things you did not think of during your 30 minute session may be REAL WINNERS.
Try this little exercise. Then try it again. Next try it on something else in you life. I just spent 30 minutes writing my “list” and now Sharon, Poky The Dog, and I are heading to the beach for some time to relax. I am taking a notebook and pen along with me just in case one of those gems my mind comes up with hits me while we are just having some fun and relaxing.
