Automate Your Business From The Beginning
I have read that it pays to automate your online business from the beginning. The less contact you personally have to make the better. This means when someone emails you a question it is answered by your automated system. This is done with an autoresponder, which is nothing more than a service that sees an email or a response in a form (which actually is email) and responds to with with a pre-written message.
You can even automate answering questions. Simply have the autoresponder send a message to any question that says, the following are common questions we get and have a list of common question with a clickable link to the answer by each question. Most people need the same questions answered, so you can develop your own list. Of course you have a comment at the bottom that if the question isn’t answered here, we’ll be happy to talk to you in person via email, just CLICK HERE and ask us your question.
GUESS WHAT? When they send that request for a personal answer to your question, they get a, “Thank You” message from your autoresponder telling them they will get a reply soon.
Automate your payment system, so your business runs 24 hours a day. Automate your download system so when they pay, they can instantly get their product if it is a downloadable ebook, software or other digital material.
Everything you don’t have to do by hand will save you time and money in the future. It will also save you a lot of trouble since you won’t have to update a manual system to an automated one.
Right now I am re-reading the section of my Corey Rudl course (Corey died in an auto crash this year). His course is the best I have read so far. Some courses are 250 pages and some only 50 pages. These typically sell for $47 to $197 and can be downloaded from the Internet. Each course goes into just enough detail to get you going and become successful. Corey’s course is now under his company name, “The Internet Marketing Center”. His manager, Derek Gehl and Corey’s wife have seen that is great resource continues to be available.
Corey’s course is so big that is is in two large binders, some small books and more information on CDs. He is where I read about automating from the beginning. It takes time to get through his material because he is teaching you how to be in business on the internet. A complete package. Others teach you how to make a site and make money on it. They give some detail but not as much as you need.
