How Much Is Your Time Worth?

I have been asking myself this question lately, “How much is your time worth?”. Being frugal in a lot of ways, I find myself squandering time as if my time account is unlimited. I waste more time doing “nothing” when I think I am relaxing, or studying or being productive in some way. When I look at reality, I am doing low priority things that don’t move us forward toward a more fulfilling life.

Fulfilling life? That means anything you want it to. More time doing quality things with friends and family. More time going to school to get that degree you have been promising yourself. More time online actually working at your websites or selling on Ebay. Right now, as you may know if you have been reading the blog for a while, I’m trying to make a living online with websites without having a physical product to sell. This is my dream so I can live anywhere, and go anywhere and manage my business without having to worry about how to ship a product or provide a service.

My most recent decision is to go back to selling on Ebay. We made our full time living on Ebay until about two years ago. Now I am ready to go back to selling before I run out of money. The course, Ebay Training Course I bought is giving me information I never even thought about in all our years of selling on Ebay.

Today as we walked our dog, Poky, I was telling Sharon that we need to start selling on Ebay hot and heavy for the next three months. This will give us the information and money we need to make some decisions in our lives. Decisions like getting rid of this warehouse and its contents. OR, keeping the warehouse for a little longer and using it to build the life we are trying to build.

Comments:
I had a boss once who said that when you have do do a task you should think of a triangle with "Quick-Cheap & Easy" on each of the points. He said you can get any two at one time, but not all three. So when we are being frugal sometimes we have to decide if our time or our money is worth more-you can have it quick and easy, but it won't be cheap, or you can have it cheap and easy, but it won't be quick :)
